Cheese and brain health: what a 25-year study revealed
Swedish researchers presented the results of a long-term observation that lasted about 25 years and involved more than 27,000 adults. According to the findings, people who regularly consumed more than 50 g of full-fat cheese per day had about a 13% lower risk of dementia compared to those who hardly ate cheese.
The article уточifies that the focus is on cheeses with a fat content above 20% (examples mentioned include brie, gouda, cheddar, and mozzarella). No similar effect was observed for low-fat cheeses, nor for milk and yogurt/other fermented products.
