Illegal excavators detained in Catalkoy
In Catalkoy, police detained two men engaged in illegal excavations.
The incident occurred in the morning around 09:30 in an area north of the Doğa Evleri residential complex. According to police, a 44-year-old and a 43-year-old man were conducting excavations without a permit to search for antiquities.
Tools and equipment used in the excavations were discovered and seized at the scene.
An investigation into the case is ongoing.
