Cyprus' Average Salary Below the European Union Average
According to Eurostat, the European statistical agency, the average annual salary in Cyprus for 2023 was lower than the EU average.
The data reveals that in 2023, the average annual salary for full-time employees in Cyprus was €26,400, an increase from €25,300 in 2022.
In comparison, the EU-wide average salary for 2023 was €37,900, reflecting a 6.5% rise from €35,600 in 2022.
Among EU countries, Luxembourg had the highest average salary at €81,100, followed by Denmark at €67,600, and Ireland at €58,700.
On the other end of the scale, Bulgaria had the lowest average salary at €13,500, with Hungary at €16,900 and Greece at €17,000.
