During the past week, 250 individuals left Cyprus
From November 26 to December 3, a total of 250 people left the Republic of Cyprus. All of them were residing in the country illegally and were repatriated to their home countries as part of the police efforts to return third-country nationals to their homeland.
At the same time, 73 more third-country nationals, who were residing illegally in Cyprus, were arrested last week. Procedures for their expulsion, through both forced and voluntary returns from Cyprus, are being prepared.
It is noted that a total of 8,868 people have left the country since the beginning of the year.
The efforts of the police and the Foreigners and Immigration Service to maximize the number of repatriates continue.
