13-year-old teenager with a knife found at arson site in Paphos
In the Paphos district, police discovered a 13-year-old teenager with a knife at the scene of a fire that was presumably started intentionally.
The incident occurred during nationwide police operations aimed at preventing the use of firecrackers, fireworks, and the lighting of Easter bonfires, known as lambradjia.
According to the police, when officers arrived at the scene, several other teenagers fled, leaving the boy behind.
Police officers contacted the teenager's parents, after which he was handed over to the family and sent home. The circumstances of the incident are still being investigated.
