In Paphos, a car hit two pedestrians getting off a bus

On Saturday afternoon in Paphos, a man and a woman were injured after being hit by a car on Apostolou Pavlou Avenue. The incident occurred at around 15:00, when the pedestrians got off a bus and attempted to cross the road in front of it.
According to preliminary data, at that moment a car was traveling along the avenue and was allegedly overtaking on the right and did not manage to brake in time. The injured were taken by ambulances to the emergency department of Paphos Hospital for examination and treatment.
Before the arrival of emergency services, first aid was provided to the injured by two doctors who were in a nearby restaurant. Police temporarily closed the section of the road and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. The condition of the injured has not yet been specified.
