National Theatre London's Hamlet to be screened in Limassol
The Rialto Theatre in Limassol will host a special screening of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, directed by Robert Hastie, Associate Director of the London National Theatre. The screening will take place on April 4 at 20:00.
The lead role is performed by Olivier Award winner Hiran Abeysekera, known for the production of Life of Pi. The role of Ophelia is played by Francesca Mills, winner of the Ian Charleson Award 2024.
This modern interpretation of the famous tragedy transports the audience into a world of power, privilege, and uncertainty. The story follows Prince Hamlet as he searches for the answer to the ultimate question of his existence, facing duty, doubt, and betrayal.
The performance was recorded at the National Theatre in London and will be shown on the big screen as part of the National Theatre Live project. The production features English and Greek subtitles.
