Kourion Launches Mobile Emergency Alert Systems
The Municipality of Kourion has introduced vehicles equipped with mobile sirens for emergency public notification.
Mayor Pantelis Georgiou stated that these mobile systems are currently operational in the Ipsonas area. Authorities have submitted a request to the Ministry of Interior for permission to utilize these alerts across the entire municipality. This move follows recent security concerns in the region, including the drone incident at RAF Akrotiri. Since yesterday, residents are also being kept informed via the municipality's official social media pages.
