10 people detained at British bases in Cyprus
Police in the British Sovereign Base Areas in Cyprus conducted a series of checks and operations, resulting in the detention of 10 people.
According to law enforcement, the arrests are related to drugs, traffic violations, and smuggling.
During the raids, police also discovered and seized prohibited pyrotechnic products — residents were warned about the ban on using dangerous firecrackers and fireworks.
Law enforcement agencies stated that checks will continue in the future to enhance security in the areas of the British bases.
