TUS Airways has announced the addition of a new Airbus A320 to its fleet, which has already arrived at Larnaca Airport. The company emphasized that the expansion comes amid a complex regional situation and demonstrates the carrier's resilience and long-term plans for the Cypriot market.

According to TUS Airways, the new aircraft will increase the number of flights from Larnaca and Paphos airports and support the development of recently opened destinations. Specifically, this includes restored air links between Cyprus and Israel, as well as new routes to Barcelona and Prague.

Acting CEO Panos Vayiatzis called the fleet expansion an important step in strengthening TUS Airways' position as one of the country's leading airlines. According to him, the arrival of the new Airbus A320 will increase the company's flexibility and allow for a faster response to changes in passenger demand.

The airline noted that increasing the number of flights is particularly important for Cyprus, whose economy largely depends on tourism and international air connectivity. The additional capacity will also help support business travel and tourist flow during the summer season.

The fleet expansion occurs at a time when the region's aviation market faces instability and changes in flight schedules. Despite this, TUS Airways continues to invest in developing its route network and strengthening its presence in key destinations.

Experts believe that strengthening the fleet could have a positive impact on the competitiveness of the Cypriot aviation sector, especially against the backdrop of high demand for flights between Cyprus, Israel, and European cities.
