TRNC Pays Republic of Cyprus for Electricity Consumed in 2023
The Cyprus Energy Authority has received payment for the electricity supplied to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in 2023. The total cost of the electricity amounted to 19 million dollars.
According to Greek media reports, the announcement by the Union of Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority Workers (EL-SEN) that the TRNC made a payment of 19 million dollars to the Republic of Cyprus for electricity in 2023 has been confirmed by the Cyprus Energy Authority (AIK).
The cost of the electricity supplied by AIK to the TRNC in 2023 was approximately 19 million dollars. The resource provider monthly sent invoices to the Chamber of Commerce of Turkish Cypriots through trade unions. It is noted that there are currently no unpaid bills for electricity.
