Troodos under snow: Winter precipitation continues in Cyprus

Winter weather persists in Cyprus: according to meteorologists, snowfall is expected to continue in mountainous areas today.
The Troodos mountain range is once again covered in snow after weather conditions worsened. Heavy snow began late Sunday evening and continued through the night.
By morning, the snow depth in the Mount Olympus (Chionistra) area reached 14 centimeters. Forecasters predict that precipitation at the highest elevations will continue throughout the day.
Authorities urge drivers to be cautious when traveling to mountainous areas, where slippery roads and limited visibility are possible. Snow chains may be required for some sections.
Despite potential inconveniences, snow in Troodos traditionally attracts winter holiday enthusiasts, but experts remind everyone to consider weather conditions and follow safety service recommendations.
