Seven-day detention for two Georgian citizens in the case of the murder of 49-year-old Stavros Dimosthenous

The Limassol District Court in Cyprus has issued an order for seven-day detention of two 28-year-old Georgian citizens, who were arrested in Greece and yesterday handed over to the Cypriot police in connection with the investigation of the murder of 49-year-old Stavros Dimosthenous.

The suspects were brought to court under enhanced security measures. They were wearing bulletproof vests. The defense did not object to the detention request.

According to the case files, the detainees are awaiting investigative procedures and interrogations, which are expected to take place later the same day.

The case is at the initial investigation stage; the court’s decision on temporary detention allows the authorities to continue the necessary procedural actions.
