In Cyprus, the first baby of 2024 was born just after midnight. The baby, named Navali Ali, weighed 2770 grams.
It is known that the child was born at 0:01 at the Fetal Medicine Centre in Limassol. Initially, the delivery was scheduled for January 8th, but shortly before the New Year, the mother's water broke. The delivery, which proceeded naturally without a cesarean section, was attended by Dr. Maria Agafocleous. Both the baby and the mother are reported to be in excellent health now.
It is worth noting that the baby's father has a double celebration – he was also born on January 1st, 1999.
