In the European Parliament elections, 17 polling stations have opened for Cypriots abroad
In the upcoming European Parliament elections, 17 overseas polling stations will be available for Cypriot voters wishing to vote outside the country.
According to the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Cyprus, a total of 4,691 people have registered for voting abroad in the upcoming elections.
In the Greek capital Athens, three polling stations will open, where 1,586 voters will be able to cast their votes. In Thessaloniki, two polling stations will be open for 669 voters.
In other countries, one polling station will be opened in Patras, Heraklion, Ioannina, Komotini, and Volos. Here, 269, 137, 114, 101, and 87 voters respectively can cast their votes.
Outside Greece, three polling stations will be opened in London, where 1,082 voters will participate in the elections.
One polling station will also be opened in three cities in the UK; Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow, serving 131, 98, and 58 voters respectively.
Another overseas polling station will open its doors in the capital of Belgium, where 359 voters will be able to participate in the elections.
It is noted that voters will only be able to vote in the European Parliament elections at these polling stations.
Recall that earlier, the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Cyprus officially announced that the elections to the European Parliament and local authorities will take place on Sunday, June 9th.
