Cyprus municipalities have published Epiphany celebration programs

Municipal authorities in Cyprus have announced the schedule of events dedicated to the Epiphany holiday, celebrated on January 6. Festivities will take place in many cities and coastal areas of the island and will traditionally include the ceremony of the Blessing of the Waters.
In Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, and other municipalities, church services, religious processions, and the ritual of throwing the cross into the sea or other bodies of water are planned. After the ceremony, believers traditionally dive to retrieve the cross — a ritual considered a symbol of purification and blessing for the new year.
Municipalities note that programs may be slightly adjusted depending on weather conditions. Residents and visitors to the island are invited to familiarize themselves in advance with the event schedules in their cities.
