Cyprus to Extend Residence Permits for Foreigners Unable to Return to Their Country
Cypriot authorities have adopted temporary measures due to the tense situation in the Middle East and its impact on air travel.
The Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection announced that the validity of residence documents for third-country nationals will be extended if they are currently outside the country and unable to return.
The measure was introduced amid disruptions in airport operations and air traffic. Authorities noted that the situation in the Middle East escalated as of March 1, 2026, which prompted the implementation of these temporary solutions.
