Two Teenagers Arrested for Theft and Assaulting Police Officers in Larnaca
In Larnaca, two teenage boys have been arrested on charges of theft and assaulting police officers.
According to the police press service, a Nicosia resident reported that two unknown individuals stole her handbag and car keys from a bench. Later, a mobile phone was also stolen from her car.
During a routine operation, Larnaca police stopped two suspicious young men for questioning and discovered a plastic bag containing six mobile phones.
The teenagers, aged 14 and 17, could not explain the origin of the phones. When questioned, they pushed the officers and attempted to flee but were soon apprehended.
Three of the phones have already been identified by their owners, who had previously reported them stolen from unlocked cars.
