Elderly Couple Perishes in House Fire in Turkey

A house fire occurred early this morning in the Orhaneli district of Bursa province.
The fire started in a single-story house where 75-year-old Yakup K. and 70-year-old Fatma K. resided. According to preliminary data, a heating appliance may have been the cause. Due to strong winds, the fire quickly engulfed the entire building.
Firefighters, gendarmerie, and ambulance crews arrived at the scene. Rescuers managed to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring houses.
After the fire was extinguished, the bodies of the elderly couple were discovered in the completely gutted house.
The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
