TRNC Urged to Accelerate E-Government Development
Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell CEO Murat Küçüközdemir stated that Northern Cyprus needs to more actively develop the e-government system (e-Devlet) and digital public services.
According to him, despite some successes in digitalization, many services still require physical presence and paper documents, which hinders the development of a modern public service system.
Küçüközdemir noted that Northern Cyprus could become a "digital island," attracting programmers, tech companies, and remote specialists. To achieve this, he believes it is necessary to develop fiber-optic internet, infrastructure, and new communication technologies, including 5G.
He also emphasized that the development of digital services should occur through a partnership between the state and the private sector to accelerate the country's digital transformation.
