Water supply disruptions expected in Famagusta and Iskele districts
In several districts of Northern Cyprus, water supply will be temporarily restricted due to work within the framework of the water supply project from Turkey.
From April 20 to May 5, pump replacements will be carried out at the Dipkarpaz station and measuring devices will be replaced in the Kumyalı reservoirs.
Outages will affect the Famagusta and Iskele districts, including Geçitkale, Çayırova, Kumyalı, Dipkarpaz, as well as:
- Yeniceköy
- Geçitkale
- Akova
- Gazimağusa (Famagusta)
- Sınırüstü
- DAÜ (Eastern Mediterranean University)
- Çayırova
- Yarköy
- Boğaztepe
- Ardahan
- Kumyalı
- Yeşilköy
- Yenierenköy 1
- Yenierenköy 2
- Derince
- Dipkarpaz
The outages will also affect all settlements that receive water from these reservoirs.
During the work period, water supply will be partially provided from local sources; however, residents are advised to use water sparingly.
Authorities promise to keep the public informed about the progress of the work and any possible changes.
