In Nicosia, a man broke a girl's 10 ribs after an argument
In Nicosia, a man arrested in a case of causing grievous bodily harm appeared before the court.
According to the police, the incident occurred on the night of April 11-12 on the Famagusta – Nicosia highway. The suspect argued with his girlfriend over the rescheduling of their wedding, after which he allegedly struck her several times with his hands.
As a result, the woman suffered 10 broken ribs, as well as redness and swelling on her face and body. In addition, doctors discovered swelling of the left eyelid.
The victim underwent a medical examination at the hospital. At the same time, it was noted in court that she did not file an official complaint.
The court ordered the suspect not to leave the country, required him to report regularly to the police, pay a bail of 40,000 liras, and provide a guarantor for 900,000 liras.
