Driver Who Ignored Police Stop Command Detained in Iskele
In Iskele, traffic police detained a 47-year-old driver who ignored a command to stop.
According to police, the incident occurred on February 22, 2026, around 07:00 AM. A vehicle driven by M.A. (47) failed to stop when signaled by a traffic patrol. In the subsequent investigation, the driver and the vehicle were identified and detained.
During a search of the car, law enforcement officers found a handheld metal detector in the suspect's possession without the required permit from the authorized bodies. The device was seized as evidence.
The suspect has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
