Turkey has handed over 10 police cars and two motorcycles to the TRNC
The General Directorate of Police of the TRNC (PGM) strengthened its vehicle fleet thanks to the contribution of the Republic of Turkey. In total, 12 vehicles were donated to Northern Cyprus – 10 cars and two motorcycles.
The vehicles were purchased through the Office of Development and Economic Cooperation (ODEC) of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia.
At the ceremony held at the General Directorate of Police, the PGM received a total of 10 vehicles, including 7 vans for transporting prisoners, two double-cabin SUVs, and one SUV-type jeep.
In addition, the main security department of the Republic of Turkey donated two police motorcycles, motorcycle driver uniforms, a laboratory, crime scene investigation and bomb disposal materials, and other equipment to the General Directorate of Police.
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia, Metin Feyzioğlu, the Director-General of Police, Kasım Kuni, his deputies, and department heads.
The ceremony concluded with a minute of silence and the national anthem, followed by the presentation and handover of the vehicles.
Metin Feyzioğlu handed the keys of the car to the Director-General of Police, Kasım Kuni.
