Electricity in Northern Cyprus to Rise by 22% Starting June 1
The state energy company KIB-TEK has officially announced a 22% increase in electricity tariffs starting June 1, 2026. The agency explained that it had kept prices unchanged for the past 14 months, but during this period fuel costs rose by more than 60%, inflation reached 38%, and foreign currency exchange rates increased by more than 18%. To maintain financial stability, the tariff increase was described as a necessary measure.
