The Chairman of the Board of T&T Airport Management, Emrullah Turanlı, stated that the construction and development of Ercan Airport has become one of the key infrastructure projects of Northern Cyprus and has brought significant benefits to the economy and society.

Speaking on a program on Cyprus Youth Television, Turanlı noted that he came to the island 13 years ago with a belief in success, and as a result, the company won the tender for the construction of the airport. According to him, the project was implemented with the participation of local workers, contractors, and media, and he called its symbolic significance the "golden key of Cyprus."

He emphasized that the airport has not only material but also "spiritual value," and its infrastructure and technological level are admirable. Turanlı also stated that the company directs 56% of its turnover, including VAT, to the state, which, in his opinion, is a significant contribution to the TRNC economy.

Speaking about the future, he presented the "Vision Cyprus" concept, which involves the development of new investment projects, including housing, tourism, energy, and transport. He paid special attention to Northern Cyprus's transition to solar energy, as well as the development of port infrastructure and logistics.

Turanlı noted the need to attract investors and suggested expanding the participation of local and foreign businesses in the country's development. According to him, many projects can be implemented without direct funding from the state budget.

Separately, the entrepreneur touched upon legal and financial disputes, stating that his company had faced delays in land transfers and increased costs. He emphasized that he continues to protect his interests through legal channels.

Concluding his speech, Turanlı said: "I love Cyprus and the Cypriot people and I am not going to leave the island. This region is part of my future."
