The air temperature will rise to 31°C: weather in Northern Cyprus on May 9th

According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Thursday, May 9th, the region will again be affected by low pressure and hot, humid air. Meteorologists predict variable cloudiness with no precipitation.

The air temperature remains within seasonal climatic norms. In some regions, thermometers will drop to 24°C, while the maximum temperature will be around 31°C.

The wind is northeast, of moderate strength. No storms are expected today.

Two meteorological warnings are in effect in Northern Cyprus. There is a high probability of forest fires and a medium level of ultraviolet radiation in the country.

It is not advisable to stay in the sun for more than 20 minutes, especially from 11:00 to 16:00, without taking necessary precautions.

Northern Coast: Kyrenia – 26°C, Lapta – 24°C, Akdeniz - 27°C, Alevkaya - 26°C, Esentepe - 25°C.

Western Coast: Lefke – 26°C, Güzelyurt – 30°C.

Central Part: Nicosia – 31°C, Ercan – 30°C.

Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 25°C, Iskele – 29°C.

Karpas: Yenierenkoy – 26°C
