Tragic Nighttime Accident in Famagusta: Young Woman Killed, Three Others Hospitalized
A serious traffic accident occurred in Famagusta late last night, resulting in the death of a young woman and injuries to three others.
According to the police press release, the accident happened around 3:55 AM on İsmet İnönü Boulevard in Famagusta. A 30-year-old driver, who was driving under the influence of alcohol, veered into the opposite lane in front of the Mens Fashion store, colliding with an oncoming car. The impact caused the second car to first hit the curb and then crash into a tree.
Sudé Öztemur, a 24-year-old resident of Famagusta, was in the first car and died at the scene. The driver of the first car, 30-year-old Yağmur Öztemur, and another passenger, 45-year-old Koray Ulema, were injured, as well as 50-year-old Jamshid Dinpanah, a passenger in the second car.
All four were taken to Famagusta State Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. Their conditions are still being assessed.
