The population of Northern Cyprus has approached 490 thousand people
The Statistical Office has published the Statistical Yearbook for 2024 and presented updated data on the projected population of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
According to the revised estimates, the total population of the TRNC amounts to 489,308 people.
Of these:
- 264,887 — men,
- 224,421 — women.
Population dynamics by year:
- 2019 — 420,556 people
(227,056 men and 193,500 women) - 2020 — 419,810 people
(225,306 men and 194,504 women) - 2021 — 448,268 people
(242,381 men and 205,887 women) - 2022 — 462,747 people
(250,421 men and 212,326 women) - 2023 — 476,214 people
(257,789 men and 218,425 women)
The updated data reflect steady population growth after 2020, while a predominance of the male population is observed in all years.
