5th Police Basketball Tournament Kicks Off in Northern Cyprus
The 5th annual Police Basketball Tournament among various police departments has begun in the TRNC. The games are taking place at the Atatürk Sports Hall, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Police Organization and Police Week.
The tournament, which started on June 20, features six competing teams. The opening match began with the tip-off by the Director General of Police, Kasım Kuni. Group stage matches continued throughout the day.
On the first day of the tournament, the Nicosia Police Department team and the Police Special Operations Department team advanced to the quarterfinals from Group A. From Group B, the Kyrenia Police Department team and the Anti-Narcotics and Political Police Department team moved forward.
Quarterfinal matches are being held today at the Atatürk Sports Hall. The finals and the third-place match are scheduled for Monday, June 24.
