In Northern Cyprus, World Wetlands Day will be celebrated
An event will take place tomorrow in the TRNC to mark World Wetlands Day. Six non-governmental organizations will jointly organize the event to celebrate the occasion.
The event will be attended by the Cyprus Wetlands Community, the Chamber of Landscape Architects, the Independent Youth Association, the Association of Friends of Karpasia, the Association for Social Existence, and the Friends of Always Nature Group.
The event will take place at the Ayluga pond from 07:00 to 08:00. The meeting point for those willing to participate in the event is designated in front of the sports club in Çanakkale.
The meeting will begin with a presentation by ecological education and management expert Dr. Asuman Korukoglu, followed by an inspection of the pond.
"We are coming together and organizing this event to draw attention to the wetlands, which are under attack daily in our country, emphasize their importance, and raise awareness," the organizers of the event said in a statement.
