AT THE GÖNYELİ-ALAYKÖY BORDER, ROADS WILL BE ILLUMINATED
The Department of Highways of the TRNC, in collaboration with the municipality of Gönyeli-Alayköy, has started work to provide continuous lighting on main roads. By repairing faulty lighting and installing the necessary number of new lines, constant illumination of the road from the Gönyeli roundabout to Yılmazköy will be ensured during the night.
The goal of the project is to make the roads in the specified area safe for vehicles.
According to the Mayor of Gönyeli-Alayköy, Hüseyin Amdjaoglu, the financing of the project by the Department of Highways will be combined with the personnel and transportation support of the municipality.
The mayor also stated that the municipal authorities are aiming to ensure the continuous presence of lighting elements, regularly inspecting road lighting structures throughout the region.
