Erhürman Denies Reports of Missile Launches Toward the Island
TRNC President Tufan Erhürman stated that authorities are closely monitoring the evolving situation and remain in constant contact with military structures.
According to him, during such a sensitive period, the dissemination of unverified information could pose significant risks to society.
Following official confirmation received from high-level military officials, reports alleging the launch of two missiles from Iran toward the island are untrue.
Erhürman emphasized that contact with competent authorities is maintained continuously, and the public will be informed based only on confirmed data.
"We have been tracking developments throughout the day. In such a period, making statements without full confirmation of information is extremely risky. According to data officially confirmed by our military structures at the highest level, reports of two missiles launched from Iran toward the island are not true. We are in constant contact with military departments and will share only verified and reliable information with our people," he stated.
