Traffic accident on the Gönendere – Sütlüce road: bus overturned, driver injured
A traffic accident occurred on the Gönendere – Sütlüce road, resulting in one person being injured.
According to police, the accident happened at around 14:55. Cesur Şirin, 53, was driving a Mercedes bus with registration number TPK 229 towards Sütlüce. Due to inattention, the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and went off the road. The bus overturned and came to rest on its right side.
As a result of the accident, the driver sustained minor injuries. After receiving first aid at the scene, he was taken to the emergency department of Gazimağusa State Hospital, where he was examined and then discharged home. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
