Accident on Kyrenia – Alsancak Bypass: One Injured
A traffic accident occurred today around 14:30 at the 6–7 kilometer mark of the Kyrenia – Alsancak bypass road.
According to the police press office, 19-year-old Onur Güldemir, driving vehicle JP 674 toward Kyrenia, lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and collided with the curb and metal railings.
Following the impact, his car careened into the rear of vehicle RC 448, driven by 44-year-old Mahmut Burak Özbek, who was traveling in the same direction. The second vehicle was also thrown forward and came to a stop after hitting the metal barriers on the right side of the road.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the RC 448 sustained minor injuries. He was taken to Kyrenia Dr. Akçiçek Hospital, where he remains under observation after receiving medical treatment.
