Four Remain Hospitalized After School Bus Crash in Northern Cyprus
In Northern Cyprus, 25 out of the 29 people injured in a school bus accident have been discharged from hospital, while three students and the driver remain under medical care.
According to the Turkish News Agency-Cyprus (TAK), citing Deputy Minister of National Education Aytunç Şirket, the four individuals still receiving treatment are in stable condition and not in any immediate danger.
The driver is being treated at Famagusta State Hospital, and the three students are hospitalized at Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia.
The accident occurred around 1:00 PM yesterday, when a school bus traveling towards Dipkarpaz overturned on a secondary road east of Yeni Erenköy High School. Updated reports confirm that 29 people were injured in the crash — the driver and 28 students. Twenty-one of the injured students were taken to Famagusta State Hospital, while the remaining seven were transferred to a hospital in Nicosia.
