77 years in prison: fugitive from Hatay caught by trickery

In Hatay province, Turkish police detained a man who had been evading his sentence for three years. Officers used an unconventional approach for the operation: one of the police officers disguised himself as a food delivery courier to make the wanted man open the door.
According to Turkish media, the man had been convicted of fraud and was supposed to serve 77 years in prison. During all this time, he avoided arrest, frequently changed places of residence and did not communicate, which complicated the search.
Operatives determined his location and developed a detention plan. A police officer in disguise rang the doorbell, introducing himself as a courier. When the man opened the door, police officers immediately entered the house and detained him. The detainee was taken to the police station, where the issue of his further transfer is being decided.
The authorities note that such tactical methods are used in cases where wanted persons evade justice for a long time and avoid direct contact.
