People who lived in the house that collapsed in Germasogeia last Saturday have issued a plea for help. On Tuesday, April 14, they came to the site where the building once stood, holding signs that read: "Please help" and "We lost our home and everything we had."

One former resident, speaking to the press, shared his experience on the day of the tragedy and admitted: "I don't know how I survived."

According to him, the residents received no warnings that the building was in a dangerous state and needed to be evacuated. "Nobody informed us," he emphasized.

The man said his apartment was on the second floor, in the part of the building that collapsed. The rent was about 1300 euros, which he split with other tenants.

Meanwhile, the police reported that an investigative team was formed immediately after the incident to look into all circumstances of the collapse. As part of the investigation, statements are being taken from all involved parties, and information is being analyzed in cooperation with competent authorities.

The investigation is ongoing. Authorities are trying to determine if there are grounds for criminal charges against any individuals.
