Large-Scale Anti-Drug Operation in Cyprus: Cocaine and Cannabis Seized, Four Arrested
The Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) conducted a series of coordinated raids as part of the fight against organized crime and illicit drug trafficking.
During the operation, the following were inspected:
- 13 vehicles
- 10 residential houses
- One establishment (cafe)
As a result, the following were seized:
- 965 grams of cocaine
- 216 grams of cannabis
Twenty-one YKAN officers from various departments participated in the operation. Four individuals were detained.
At the home of a 31-year-old man, who was wanted in connection with a case involving 7 kilograms of cannabis (October 2025, currently before the Limassol Assize Court), 215 grams of cannabis and 965 grams of cocaine were discovered.
A 29-year-old woman, also wanted in the same 7kg cannabis case, was detained as well.
In two other houses, a 21-year-old man (found with a small amount of cannabis, later released after questioning) and a 30-year-old man, also in possession of a small amount of cannabis, were arrested.
The 30-year-old was previously subject to an arrest warrant for robbery and other offenses committed in 2024 in the Larnaca district.
Police stated that targeted operations against drug trafficking and organized crime will continue.
