Traffic Flow Changes in Agios Dometios: Road Marking Works Begin February 25
The Nicosia Municipality has announced new traffic management measures in the Agios Dometios area. The changes will take effect starting Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
The decision was made in accordance with Nicosia Municipal Traffic Regulations and the Municipalities Law. Initial works will involve applying road markings and installing appropriate signage.
The following changes will be introduced:
— Michail Karaoli Street will become one-way, moving towards Ektoros Street.
— A section of Ektoros Street (from the intersection with Michail Karaoli to the intersection with Isaac and Solomos Street) will also become one-way in the same direction.
— Parking spaces will be organized along the northern side of Michail Karaoli Street (where technically feasible).
— Stopping and parking will be prohibited on all other sections of the street, marked by a double yellow line.
Road marking works will take place daily from 08:00 to 15:00.
The municipality urges drivers to be particularly careful, follow both temporary and permanent road markings, and avoid parking on the specified streets during the works.
Authorities emphasize that these changes aim to increase road safety and improve the traffic situation in the area. Residents are asked for their understanding and cooperation in following the new rules.
