In Paralimni, a man was detained for driving under the influence of drugs at a speed of 106 km/h
In Paralimni, police detained a young man who was significantly exceeding the speed limit. The drug-impaired driver was speeding through a residential complex at a speed twice the permitted limit.
According to the police press service, the incident occurred during the day on Thursday. The 22-year-old man was driving along a busy street at a speed of 106 kilometers per hour.
The speed limit on this stretch of road is 50 km/h. Thus, the driver was traveling at a speed more than twice the permitted limit.
After the arrest, he underwent a drug test, which yielded a positive result. He was then released pending a court summons.
