In Paphos, a 32-year-old man was arrested after a pursuit in a stolen vehicle
In Cyprus, in the Mesogi area, police arrested a 32-year-old man wanted in connection with a robbery case. The incident occurred after a patrol spotted a vehicle listed as stolen in the Limassol district.
According to law enforcement, the driver was ordered to stop, but he ignored the signal and attempted to flee. During the pursuit, the suspect carried out dangerous manoeuvres, after which he collided with a curb and was forced to stop.
The man tried to run away on foot, so police had to fire warning shots.
The fugitive was detained and taken to the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department for further action. Police confirm that the vehicle had indeed been reported as stolen. Additional details of the investigation have not yet been disclosed.
