26-Year-Old Suspect Arrested in Nicosia Over 230kg Drugs and Weapons Case
Nicosia police have detained a 26-year-old man as part of an investigation into the seizure of over 230 kilograms of narcotics, as well as a pistol, a revolver, improvised explosive devices, and a large quantity of firecrackers.
The arrest was made based on a judicial warrant previously issued for the suspect. He has been taken into custody and will appear before the Nicosia District Court tomorrow for a remand hearing.
On the same day, two other individuals involved in the case—aged 34 and 26—were brought to court. The court extended their detention for another eight days.
The investigation is ongoing.
