Car bombed outside owner's home in Limassol
A car explosion occurred in Limassol overnight, causing alarm among local authorities.
According to police, an explosion occurred around 03:00 in a car used by a 46-year-old man. The vehicle was parked outside his home in the Agios Ioannis area.
Police officers arriving at the scene determined that the explosion was caused by a factory-made firecracker connected to a flammable substance, which had been placed at the front of the vehicle.
The explosion caused serious damage to the front of the car.
The case is being investigated by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department.
