Main street in Limassol to close for Carnival Parade
Due to the Grand Carnival Parade on Sunday, February 22, 2026, temporary traffic restrictions will be implemented in Limassol.
The parade will begin at 1:00 PM on Arch. Makarios III Avenue, featuring floats and walking groups.
According to the announcement:
- The section from the Enaerios traffic lights to the Ayios Nikolaos roundabout will be closed starting at 8:00 AM for the assembly of carnival floats.
- The section from the Ayios Nikolaos roundabout to the intersection of Makarios III Avenue and Apostolou Varnava Street will be closed from 11:00 AM until midnight.
Drivers are asked to follow the instructions of the police and municipal traffic wardens and to utilize the city's municipal and private parking lots.
The festivities will conclude with a grand outdoor Carnival Ball at the Old Port Square at 9:00 PM.
