In Limassol, a 39-year-old man with a knife robbed a teenager and attacked police officers

A 39-year-old man has been detained in Limassol after allegedly threatening a 16-year-old teenager with a knife, robbing him, and attacking law enforcement officers.
The incident occurred on Sunday around 14:45 at a city kiosk. Arriving at the scene, police officers found a man who was allegedly attacking the teenager.
When police officers attempted to intervene, the suspect resisted and, according to the investigation, attacked them. The man was detained on the spot for crimes committed in flagrante delicto.
A subsequent search revealed a folding knife as well as a mobile phone, which he reportedly admitted to having taken from the minor at knifepoint.
The suspect has been taken into custody and is expected to appear in court later today.
