LARNACA TO HOST INTERNATIONAL CULTURE NEXT CONFERENCE
Larnaca will host the international Culture Next conference from May 6 to 8, dedicated to the development of cultural and creative industries. The event takes place as part of the city's preparations for the European Capital of Culture 2030 title.
Representatives from approximately 50 European cities will participate in the conference. Participants will discuss how culture can be used as a tool for sustainable development, innovation, and social engagement, and will exchange experiences and best practices.
Program and Key Topics
An open day for the general public is scheduled for May 7. Local members of the creative community will have the opportunity to meet conference participants and learn about cultural initiatives from other cities.
The program includes presentations and panel discussions on the following topics:
- supporting artists;
- cultural policy;
- working in conflict environments;
- artist rights;
- development of the creative economy.
Participation in the event is free, but prior registration is required.
