Man with Knife Holding Two Women Hostage in Larnaca Apartment
An armed incident occurred in Larnaca on the afternoon of March 25 around 15:30. According to police, a man with a knife is holding two women in an apartment in the central part of the city and threatening them.
According to preliminary information, the suspect was on the balcony of an apartment building shouting threats. Police arrived at the scene following reports from eyewitnesses.
Law enforcement officers have cordoned off the area and closed nearby roads. Special negotiators are working on-site, attempting to resolve the situation and persuade the man to surrender without the use of force.
