The fireworks were discovered during a search prompted by a tip-off, as part of an ongoing campaign to combat the illegal use and sale of pyrotechnic products.
A 30-year-old man’s home was searched, where two cardboard boxes were found containing a total of 112 fireworks. The man was questioned, formally charged in writing, and released while the investigation continues. The case is being handled by the Paralimni Police Station.
