Firefighting Drills to Take Place at Larnaca Airport
The Fire Service of the Republic of Cyprus will be conducting emergency preparedness drills at Larnaca Airport on Thursday, March 6.
According to the department’s statement, the exercises will focus on simulating the need to extinguish a chemical fire on-site, as well as handling a potential incident in the Larnaca Aircraft Fueling System (LAFS) located outside the airport. The drills are set to begin at 9:00 AM, and fire trucks will be mobilized for the training.
The Fire Service has reassured the public, urging them to stay calm and not to be alarmed by the exercises. It’s also worth mentioning that, as previously reported, several shooting drills will take place across Cyprus in March.
